Conflict — both external and internal — is central to effective storytelling. Our AI will analyze the main sources of conflict in your novel and assess whether the conflict is sufficiently strong, sustained, and central to the story. It will also look at how effectively the story makes use of narrative drive and its shifts in tone and emotional temperature.

Does the narrative raise story questions in readers’ minds or is the plot over the top and melodramatic? Is the main conflict introduced early and developed throughout the story? Are there multiple layers of conflict — internal, external, and relational — that maintain tension and interest? Are the stakes clearly defined and felt throughout the story? Does the conflict escalate naturally to the climax?
